Post dangle earrings measure approximately 1-3/8" long and 3/8" at widest point.

DESCRIPTION:

This pair of earrings is a true treasure! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Rita Largo, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Blue Opal stones. This pair of earrings has a total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) that are carefully placed in hand cut bezel settings and are complimented by silver mini beads. Feather designs add style for a lovely traditional look. A total of FOUR shining silver feathers can be seen dangling from each earring for a perfect finish! Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The earrings are stamped sterling.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
