Sterling silver, Turquoise, and Amber.

MEASUREMENTS:

The pendant measures 2-3/4" long (including bail) and 3/4" at widest point. The necklace measures approximately 21" long. The necklace weighs 70 grams.

DESCRIPTION:

Expect plenty of compliments while wearing this stunning bead necklace! This piece of Native American jewelry is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and Turquoise beads. The necklace consists of: 10-mm and 3-mm silver round beads and 10-mm Turquoise round beads. Each end of the necklace is completed with a silver cone and bead for a perfect finish. The cones are stamped sterling. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

Amber is known to be very protective, it also calm nervousness, relieves depression, spiritualizes the mind, and draws diseases and negativity out of the body. Even though amber is sometimes called a stone, it is not, it is actually fossil resin.
