Post dangle earrings measure approximately 5/8" long and 3/8" at widest point.

DESCRIPTION:

This lovely pair of earrings is a work of art and has everything you could possibly want from a piece of Native American jewelry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Gary Shorty, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opal. FOUR stones (TWO stones in each earring) are gently set in a bezel setting, while twisted silver designs and mini silver beads accent for a remarkable finish. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
