This beautiful style of Navajo art is called horse hair pottery because actual horse hair is added to the pottery at just the right moment in the firing process to melt the hairs into the pottery, creating unique, incredible horse and dream catcher designs. It is believed that each gently woven web will catch your bad dreams in the night. The bad spirit dreams will get caught in the web and disappear with the morning sun. This outstanding Native American Pot is hand etched and painted, by Navajo artist Carol Johnson.
