DESCRIPTION:

This bolo tie is a Navajo classic! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Ervin Begay out of genuine sterling silver and a real Turquoise stone. The Bolo piece has a Turquoise stone that is gently set in a hand cut shadow box bezel setting while hand cut silver work creates a fantastic bear paw design. The tips of the bolo tie are accented with traditional imprinted designs. The bolo piece is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
