DESCRIPTION:

This is a very exquisite necklace that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted, by artist Verley Betone, out of genuine sterling silver and a man made Opal stone. Each link consists of ONE hand crafted sterling silver scalloped leaf design. TWO feather dangle pieces and mini silver beads can be seen accenting the necklace for a gorgeous finish. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force. The necklace is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.

I saw a very similar bracelet in a shop in Santa Fe, NM but it was much too pricey for me. I thought I would never have such a beautiful piece of Navajo history and culture. I came home from my vacation, found this website and ordered this lovely bracelet

I looked over the selection many times before deciding on my selection. i was concerned about the ring looking as it did in the photo and the size being true. i was pleasantly surprised on both accounts, the ring looked much better in real life.
