DESCRIPTION:

Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Pearlene Spencer, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Turquoise stone. The stone is carefully set in a shadow box bezel setting while hand crafted silver work creates a gorgeous bear paw design, finishing the ring perfectly. In Native American beliefs, the bear paw is usually considered a way to call for the power of the animal spirit, or as an indication of the presence of the spirit. It is a symbol that represents inner strength. The ring is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

    Excellent Quality Jewelry
Posted by Joann W. | Reviewing NativeAmericanJewelry.com | Posted on
I have a lot of Native American jewelry and have been looking for the "perfect" silver band to wear on my wedding ring finger with my other rings. My husband and I have looked and looked and finally found what we were looking for in the Sterling Silver Hopi George Phillips Sun & Prayer Sticks ring. It is beautiful, meaningful and excellent quality. My husband placed it on my finger and we both are so pleased with it as we celebrate 49 years of marriage. I also purchased onyx silver feather Navajo post dangle earings because I had been looking for silver feather earings without a color stone in them. These fit the bill and are beautiful and excellent quality.
