DESCRIPTION:

Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo overlay hand crafted by artist Ralph Bia out of genuine sterling silver. Overlay is a process that utilizes at least two layers of sterling silver. One layer forms the foundation, while the second is used to design the individual detailed overlay. In this belt buckle, the second layer forms gorgeous Sunface and Corn design, along with other traditional patterns for a fabulous finish. The Sunface represents warmth, shelter for the old, a bright future, and playfulness for the young. The corn is a powerful symbol in many tribes. It is used for prayer of fertility and a good growing season. The belt buckle is hallmarked and stamped sterling.

The buckle I purchased from NAJ recently was splendid, but the wristwatch that came a few days ago was of inferior workmanship and material, done I suspect by one of Effie's daughters. Nevertheless, I intend to keep using NAJ. ”
